Can’t believe this is mandala number 70. I tried a lot of different/new things in this one, so it’s not as cohesive as I’d like. I like the inner layers and the outer ones. The middle – meh. But it’s done! 😛
Still playing around with various zentangles and doodles to fill in spaces so they are intricate enough for coloring. Not sure I like the brick pattern, but I’m happy with the rest of it. And as I head for 70 mandalas, I’m amazed that even though it sometimes feels like I’m drawing the same thing over and over, it never turns out the same. 😀
I’m really digging how this one turned out. I like the lighter inner flowers contrasted with the darker outer layer. And, of course, now that I’m seeing it posted, I see a mistake I should fix. Ah, well, ’tis the sad unfinished life of a creative. 😛
Things have been crazy the past few weeks and sadly drawing has been shoved to the side while other more pressing matters are dealt with. Sundays are nice – I get a chance to sit down for a bit and draw. I draw on my iPad while my husband watches football. This mandala looks fun to color – I’ll have to try it and see.
Another zentangle inspired mandala. It’s always amazing to me that even after all this time, even when it feels like I’m drawing the same design elements over and over, the finished mandalas all end up looking different. It’s almost like magic. 😛
I had a lot of fun drawing this one. It has a lot of different elements, but I like the flow of it. I’m still learning and experimenting with various types of zentangles and doodles for filling elements, but I think the mandalas I draw just because are usually my favorites. 😀
Another one I ended up really digging. The flow from inner to outer layers is good. It’s simple, but intricate enough to keep your eye interested. I really want to try coloring this one. 😀
This was another experiment, but I’m really digging this one. It’s simple, but I like all the repeats and echoes in it. The outer ring is a bit too heavy, I’ll keep that in mind for future mandalas.
I tried drawing this one in different layers in Procreate with different symmetries. I think it worked okay. The lines in the inner layer could be thicker, but that’s all right. It somehow reminds me of an onion. Just me?
